Keep Claude Code Remote Control alive across reboot with an OS supervisor
Description and use
LiveClaude keeps Claude Code Remote Control sessions alive across reboots by running a long‑lived OS supervisor and providing a desktop UI for session management.
Problem
Claude Code Remote Control sessions terminate when the terminal process dies, rebooting, or closing the window, preventing long‑term remote access.
Outcome
LiveClaude provides a reliable, multi‑session, OS‑native supervisor for Claude Code Remote Control, eliminating session loss after reboots and simplifying management through a single UI.
Workflow
- Install LiveClaude via winget, curl install.sh, or curl install-macos.sh
- Launch the LiveClaude desktop app
- Create or edit a Claude session through the UI
- The supervisor starts a long‑lived process per session
- If the machine reboots, the OS supervisor restarts the session automatically
- Attach to the session via the embedded terminal to complete trust/login prompts
Evidence
Claude Code Remote Control is useful from the phone or claude.ai — until the terminal on the machine dies. Close the window, crash, sign out, or reboot, and the remote client loses the session.
I built LiveClaude to treat those sessions like infrastructure instead of a leftover terminal window.
LiveClaude is an MIT open‑source supervisor + Avalonia desktop app, written entirely in C# / .NET (no Node, Python, tmux, or browser automation)
