Measure a context plugin on your own repository before you install it
Description and use
A client‑side tool lets developers estimate the context size a plugin will inject by downloading a repo, running chamnan’s modules via Pyodide, and reporting the injected block and redactions.
Problem
Developers cannot evaluate how much context a plugin will inject into an agent before installing it, risking unnecessary context cost and privacy leaks.
Outcome
The tool shows that injected context remains bounded (~6.2–6.7 KB) regardless of repo size, providing a reliable estimate of context cost before plugin installation.
Workflow
- 1. Open the measurement page at https://arcticfox2029.github.io/chamnan-measure/
- 2. Enter a public GitHub repository URL
- 3. The page downloads the repo into the browser and runs chamnan’s mapper, rollup, and redactor modules via Pyodide
- 4. It calculates the size of the context block that would be injected per session
- 5. It shows which parts would be redacted and simulates 50 turns of interaction with that repo’s files
Evidence
Paste a public GitHub repository URL. The page downloads the source into your browser tab, runs chamnan's actual modules over it through Pyodide — mapper, rollup, the redactor, not a re‑implementation of any of them — and reports what would be injected into an agent's context each session, what the redactor would alter, and a fifty‑turn simulation over that repository's own files.
