My 369 Merged Pull Requests On GitHub, Every Single One Linked And Verified

Description and use

Author shows how to verify and count external pull requests using GitHub search API and CLI, confirming 369 merges across 33 projects.

Problem

Demonstrate how to verify and quantify external contributions to open‑source projects using GitHub search API and CLI.

Outcome

Author proves 369 external merged PRs with a reproducible query, showing 33 accepted projects and 398 total merges, 918 submitted overall.

Workflow

  • 1. Open GitHub search with query "is:pr is:merged author:aniruddhaadak80".
  • 2. Run GitHub CLI: "gh api -X GET search/issues -f q='is:pr is:merged author:aniruddhaadak80'".
  • 3. Count total results (398).
  • 4. Exclude PRs from own repositories (29).
  • 5. Remaining count is 369 external merges.
  • 6. Export or copy PR URLs for verification.

Evidence

I did not count these by hand. I queried the GitHub search API directly, which means the numbers come from GitHub itself, not from my memory or my ego.

Source

That query currently returns 398 results. I then filtered out every repository under my own account, which left exactly 369 external merges.
