On-Call Drive: A Browser-Based Cybersecurity Game
Description and use
On-Call Drive turns cybersecurity training into an interactive game where players act as on‑call engineers, investigate incidents, and solve challenges in a 3D city.
Problem
Traditional cybersecurity training often feels like a static quiz, lacking real-world engagement and interactivity.
Outcome
The game transforms cybersecurity learning into an engaging, interactive experience, increasing motivation and simulating real on-call responsibilities.
Workflow
- 1. Launch the web-based game in a browser.
- 2. Navigate the 3D city using a vehicle controller.
- 3. Locate security incidents displayed on the minimap.
- 4. Jack into affected systems to investigate tickets.
- 5. Complete Web, Cloud, or SOC security challenges presented in the game.
- 6. Earn points (CR) and view progress on the live leaderboard.
Evidence
I built a browser-based cybersecurity game where you become the on-call security engineer.
The game is built using @threejs /WebGL, with a 3D environment, vehicles, minimap, interactive security tasks and a live leaderboard.
