Repurpose One Asset Across Adobe, Vecteezy, Dreamstime With Two Stdlib Scripts
Description and use
Automating CSV preparation and upload tracking for Adobe, Vecteezy, and Dreamstime to eliminate header errors and duplicate posts.
Problem
Rejections from stock platforms due to incorrect CSV headers and duplicate uploads.
Outcome
The pipeline runs on a 1 vCPU, 2 GB RAM machine, eliminates paperwork failures, and reduces rejections and duplicate posts.
Workflow
- Generate or finish the asset once, into assets/.
- Copy the ready-to-submit files into output/.
- Run make_metadata.py three times, once per platform.
- Mark each asset done as you upload it.
Evidence
Last March I had 12 finished vector sets sitting in a folder and got three rejection emails in one afternoon.
Adobe wants exactly five columns. Vecteezy wants exactly four. Dreamstime wants fifteen.
If a human hadn’t caught it, I’d have posted duplicates, and duplicate submissions across a portfolio is exactly the pattern that gets an account reviewed and flagged.
The scripts themselves are so light that two of them need no install at all.
