Why Wrong CSV Headers Get Rejected Instantly, And The Script That Writes Them Correctly

CSV headers that do not match a stock platform’s required schema cause instant rejection of all files in a bulk upload, wasting time and resources.

Результат

The automated workflow eliminates header‑related rejections and duplicate uploads, saving hours and preventing account flags.

Рабочий процесс

  • 1. Organize assets in a folder with filenames.
  • 2. Run make_metadata.py with a platform flag to generate a CSV with the correct header order and names.
  • 3. Optionally supply titles.json via --titles to override default title generation.
  • 4. Use upload_tracker.py to record which files have been uploaded, preventing double posting.
  • 5. Submit the CSV to the stock platform.
  • 6. Verify upload success and update ledger.

Доказательства

I had written Filename, Title, Keywords, Category because that’s what made sense to me.

Источник

Adobe’s bulk upload expects a specific five‑column layout, and their parser checks the header row before it looks at anything else.

Источник

The fix that actually held up for me was to stop writing CSVs by hand and generate them from one source of truth.

Источник

upload_tracker.py, a plain ledger that remembers what’s been marked done.
