Free account and public resources
The free layer is designed for research before commitment. It gives you a place to discover and compare open-source options without a paid subscription.
Use the free layer well
- Search the catalog. Use a product name, capability, technology, or the paid service you want to replace.
- Open the detail page. Read category, score, freshness, source, summary and any linked stories.
- Compare evidence. Check the upstream repository, license, release activity, maintainer signals and deployment fit yourself.
- Review adjacent catalogs. MCP servers and skills expose source, compatibility, install metadata and risk notes; these are reference data, not commands AtlasRepo executes for you.
- Decide what to test. A public listing is a discovery signal, not a production approval.
A useful research note
Record the problem, the candidate, the evidence that supports it, the integration cost, and a stop condition. That makes your shortlist reviewable by another builder.
Account boundaries
A free account is catalog-first. Private repositories, implementation packs, paid API key access, private learning material and community-only content remain gated by an active eligible plan.
