Account, subscription and access
The public Catalog, Pulse projections, public course outlines and public API specification can be explored without a paid subscription. Saved progress, protected learning material, eligible API-key access and other member features depend on the signed-in account and current entitlement.
Account workflow
- Sign in and inspect the Member area for the current plan and subscription state.
- Create an API key only when the plan is eligible; store it in a secret manager.
- Rotate or revoke keys you no longer need.
- Read lock reasons in Courses instead of assuming every material belongs to the same tier.
- Review current Pricing and checkout terms before purchasing; this guide does not invent plan limits or prices.
Subscription state and request quota are separate concepts. A plan may determine eligibility, while the quota response describes the active request window. Client code should use the returned limit, remaining, windowSeconds, resetAt and unlimited fields rather than hard-coded allowances.
Membership does not automatically install, deploy or approve third-party software. Your team remains responsible for credentials, dependency review, production changes and rollback.
